Downward and Onward

I had been sick as a dog this week. Starting on Monday night, my insides were turning every which way - I couldn't keep any food down (or up?) Tuesday morning I spent in bed until I became too bored to lay around. I had slowly been improving until Thursday when Christopher asked to go to Mancino's for his birthday lunch ... oooooh man, I guess it were the semi raw peppers on the pizza that again made my stomach churn.

This morning I had no choice but to head to the gym an weigh in or else I wouldn't get to at all this week. I worked out a little (couldn't really get excited about it, though) and weighed in: 285.4 lbs! How about that, at least something to show for not being able to eat much most of the week.

Now I just have to make sure I keep it off and lose some more.

No picture this week, either ... but next week for sure.

I am fruuuuuuuuuuuustraaaaaaaaaaaaaaated

I don't know what else to do ... I eat well, work out a lot and all I have to show for today is a lousy 1 pound drop. Yes, the clothes fit better, I have more energy (ok, not today, but in general) but the stupid *&&%$ scale won't budge ......... :(
The old me would have taken this as a sign that it's pointless and gone back to the old habits. But, the new (and improved) me won't take this lying down.
TOMORROW IS ANOTHER DAY (and maybe another pound)!

Still going

Ok, it's been almost 2 weeks since I posted. But, there has been NO movement on the scale since last time, so there was no reason to type anything here.

Since the scale isn't budging I went and the the body fat index test today. When I first joined the gym they measured me and the BFI was 45.7% at a weight of 296.2 lbs. Today's results were 45.1% at 291#. Still a bit disappointing, but I know I feel lighter and the clothes feel better. So, SOMETHINGS changing, it's just not measurable with a scale I guess.

The Day After .... + 0.8 lbs = 290.6 lbs

I guess it's a bit obvious that nothing earth shattering happened at yesterday's weigh-in ... I regained 0.8 pounds ... sort of. That was before I worked out; I stepped on the scale again after I was done and the re-gain was only 0.4 pounds. Guess, I'll just have to work extra hard this week to get rid of this again and then some.

Needless to say: no pictures of the re-gain :-)

The Night Before the Weigh-In

I am considering not even weighing in tomorrow. I don't think I have lost anything. The only time we went to the gym was on Tuesday and shoveling snow wasn't quite the replacement I was hoping for. I guess I'll see how tomorrow goes.

Aqua Day

Another Tuesday, another day to do my 2 hours of water workouts. Somehow I am not very confident that I'll lose much this week, but I still have 2 days before the weigh-in and I'll just do some Wii tomorrow morning to get some work out in since we won't be able to get to the gym ... the Blizzard of 2011 is currently in progress. It sounds horrible out there. We just check the driveway ... the walk to the door is clear but a 2 foot drift is blocking my side of the drive.

289.8 .... the first TEN are gone!

OK ... a little disappointing, but, I have to admit, this week I wasn't all that strict with my diet either. But, then again ... that brings me to a 3 week total of 10.2 pounds lost, so, not really anything to complain about.
I kicked it up a notch on the elliptical this morning, powered through my machines and walked the track (kinda lost track of how many laps I did - even with the clicker, I must have forgotten to click a couple of times LOL)
